The Swiss made Type 1A is the product of a uniquely collaborative process, inspired by the artisanal and cooperative approach of 18th and 19th century English watchmaking workshops.
All tooling in the Type 1A is engineered at our workshops in Switzerland; double dome box-type mineral crystal, a precisely formed case, bespoke typography and individually shaped hands represent our dedication to quality and craft. The result is a timepiece redolent of fine British pocket watches and mid-century dress watches made for the present day.
Inspired by the clarity of white space found on 19th-century English pocket watch dials, only essential details feature on the Type 1A’s 38.5mm diameter face. Strong hour markers aid legibility, while the minimal hairline minute markers challenge the limits of dial-printing technology.
Demonstrating the Sekford team’s experience and expertise in luxury watch design, the Type 1A’s bespoke case features carefully alternated polished and brushed surfaces, resulting in a level of finish seldom seen at this price point.
